Dr Shirley Pugh
Shirley was trained as a biochemist. She has many years experience in research and technology, particularly in environmental protection, hazardous waste management, effluent treatment and environmental management.
Her research experience was obtained while at the University of Kent at Canterbury, Duke University Medical Centre, USA and subsequently as a programme manager in the Chemical Engineering Division at AEA Technology, Harwell.
These skills are complemented by her business development expertise gained while at the PA Consulting Group and now as a senior partner of
spmj.
Since co-founding spmj, Shirley has been involved with many business development, environmental and technology-based projects in the UK, Europe, the USA and Southern Africa.
Shirley is a member of the Institute of Management Consultancy (MIMC) and a Certified Management Consultant (CMC).
Mike Jupp
Mike is an electronics engineer with a broad range of experience in the electronics, engineering, defence and aerospace industries. He also has extensive experience of working within Government Agencies.
Mike was a research engineer prior to joining the Royal Air Force (RAF) as an engineering officer. During his varied career with the RAF he served at the Government Communications Headquarters, DERA, Farnborough and was seconded to a major US Aerospace company.
He left the RAF to join the PA Consulting Group's Management Strategy Division, leaving after two years to form
spmj.
Since co-founding spmj, Mike has managed many technology, strategy and marketing assignments for European, Southern African, UK and US companies and organisations.
Mike is a member of the Institute of Management Consultancy (MIMC) and a Certified Management Consultant (CMC).
